The VFW is a non-profit organization whose goal is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. Who also serve our veterans, the military, and our communities and advocate on behalf of all veterans and ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.
County Office
The San Joaquin Veterans Service Office was established by the Board of Supervisors in 1944. In an Advocacy Role, the Appointed Veterans Service Officer shall assist every peace or war-time veteran, and the dependents of every deceased veteran in presenting and pursuing any claim the veteran may have against the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and in establishing the veteran's right to and privilege, preference, care or compensation provided by the laws of the United States or the State of California.
