Things you'll find on my blog are: storied original cocktails, as well as  fun/recommended things for fellow imbibers (whether you're a cocktail, beer, and wine lovers). And as mentioned, I'm expanding my sections on educational components and classic cocktails. Drinks we made

Rickey

(Generally made with Gin, but I prefer it with Whiskey)

  • 1.5 oz Gin (or Bourbon)
  • 1 oz Lime
  • Club Soda

*Freshly squeezed lime, spend lime wedges into glass. Build ingredients in a Collin’s glass with ice. Slightly stir. Lime wedge for garnish.

**If ordering at a bar, specify the booze you'd like, or you'll get gin. (ie: Whiskey Rickey, Vodka Rickey)

Tom Collins

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Lemon
  • 0.5 oz Sugar
  • Clubs Soda

*Build in a Collin’s glass with cubed ice. Garnish with a cherry and orange slice.

**Other versions that vary depending on base spirit: John Collins (Bourbon), Joan (Brandy), Michael (Spice Rum)...but if ordering, if you say any kind of spirit before Collins they'll know what it means.

Gold Rush

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and water)
  • 0.75 Fresh Lemon Juice

*Shake with ice and strain into rocks glass with a fresh large ice cube or cubed ice. Garnish with lemon wheel or wedge.

Some of Bex's favorites I talked about
