Edmond Bedrossian
Dr. Edmond Bedrossian received his DDS from University of the Pacific, and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Alameda Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, honorary member of the American College of Prosthodontists, fellow of the ITI and fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Bedrossian was previously a longstanding professor in the Department of OMS at the Dugoni School, combining a successful private practice with academics.
A world-renowned expert in implant dentistry, he has authored multiple articles and chapters on the various uses of the zygomatic implant, bone grafting, and treatment planning in implant dentistry. He also authored the textbooks Implant Treatment Planning for the Edentulous Patient and The Immediacy Concept. He has lectured with Professor Brånemark on the rehabilitation of patients with maxillofacial defects and collaborated with him in attaining FDA approval for the use of endosseous implants in maxillofacial defects. Dr. Bedrossian also serves on the editorial review boards of multiple journals in OMS and implant dentistry.
