Whether serving academic and professional training, supporting Tiger athletics or entertaining at university functions, Pacific bands have always played an integral role at University of the Pacific. The program's rich history and vibrant future are dedicated to continued growth, service and a uniquely powerful "esprit de corps" that reflect Pacific commitment to topflight, student-centered education.
Pacific Wind Bands
The ensemble includes students of many majors across University of the Pacific. They perform at least four concerts each year playing a wide variety of music for winds, brass, percussion and keyboards. The repertoire honors the rich history and looks to the future, ranging from chamber to full band instrumentation. Recent collaborations with composers include Kevin Bobo, Viet Cuong, Kevin Day, Catherine Likhuta, Giovanni Santos and Alex Shapiro.
Pacific Pep Band
Student leadership, unequalled spirit and great performance are the hallmarks of this 50-member ensemble. They play for Pacific volleyball and basketball teams. The ensemble is funded by the Athletic Department, and the musicians are paid for performances. All Pacific students are welcome to participate, no audition is required.
