University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music is excited to announce the 2025 Pacific Jazz Festival featuring jazz flutist Elena Pinderhughes.

The festival enables music students in local communities to enrich their knowledge and understanding of jazz music. Participation is open to all high-school and junior-college instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles and combos.

$400—group registration fee

Each registered group will perform for 25 minutes. Each performance will be followed by a clinic where Pacific's jazz faculty and guest clinicians will provide feedback.

Elena Pinderhughes

Described as the “most exciting and creatively assured jazz flutist to have emerged in years,” Bay Area native Pinderhughes is one of today's leading young voices. She has toured and performed with Herbie Hancock, Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott), Terri Lynne Carrington, Gerald Clayton, Etienne Charles, Lionel Louke, and recorded and collaborated with various hip-hop and R&B artists such as Common, Lupe Fiasco, Terrace Martin or Victoria Monét.
