Cisco performed an upgrade to Webex on July 28
This announcement is to make the Pacific community aware an automatic upgrade that Cisco implemented for the Webex Business Suite 33.3 applications located at https://pacific.webex.com. In an effort to minimize the impact to users, the upgrade process was scheduled for Saturday, July 28, between 7:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.
You will notice changes to the following components:
- Cisco Webex Meetings
- Cisco Webex Training
- Cisco Webex Events
- Cisco Webex Support
- Cisco Webex Page 33.3
- Cisco Webex Meetings Web App 4.0
- Cisco Webex Meetings 11.1 (Android)
- Cisco Webex Meetings 11.1 (iOS)
The upgrade was necessary in order to move the current platform to a Cisco-supported software version. After joining a meeting for the first time following the upgrade, users will see the new Webex tool featuring:
- A Modern View default with an option for the current Classic View
- Simplified, integrated scheduling and calendar management
- Life-like video-centric meetings
- Intuitive and centralized controls
- Flexible layouts for video and content
The new Webex tool also offers pop-ups to guide users on a tour of the changes.
