Fire Prevention Training from Environmental Health and Safety

Fire prevention training options available from Environmental Health and Safety

The University of the Pacific Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department invites you to participate in Fire Safety Month in October, which kicks off with Fire Safety Week Oct. 7-13. Fire awareness and fire prevention can save lives and prevent property losses, both here at the university and at home.

In building awareness around Fire Safety and a widely celebrated event on Oct. 31—Halloween—our EHS Department encourages you to review one or more of the available fire safety trainings as well as a fun Halloween safety video offered in Bridge (Pacific login required).

You can also search in Bridge using the keyword "fire" or "Halloween" to find any of these available trainings. For Fire Extinguisher training, we have two options: a short two-minute refresher or a more detailed 20-minute version.

Safety Tip—How To Use A Fire Extinguisher (two minutes)

OSHA—Portable Fire Extinguisher Safety (20 minutes)

For Fire Preparedness, we offer an overview version as well as a more detailed full-length version.

OSHA—Emergency and Fire Preparedness Overview (seven minutes)

OSHA—Emergency and Fire Preparedness (25 minutes)

Thank you for your interest and active participation in preventing injuries, incidents and fires before they can happen and building a safe work environment for all of us.
