Mathew Olson, who graduated in 2018 from the Master of Public Administration program, is part of our expanding alumni network of working professionals. Currently, Mathew is a Senior Consultant at WSP USA working as part of the Project Development and Finance team within Advisory Services. In addition to supporting the Project Development and Finance team at WSP, he has successfully worked in local government as a researcher, as well as an advisor for technology companies on state and local government procurement.
"Choosing the Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program at McGeorge advanced and established a foundation for my professional career. I chose the MPA program because I was seeking a graduate level course that would give me the necessary skills to excel in the workforce. Throughout the program, I had the support and guidance of not only faculty but my peers. Upon graduation, I accepted a new job offer and doubled my annual salary. McGeorge has given me a network of other public policy professionals as well as many individuals employed in the legal field. I would not be where I am in my professional life without the hard and soft skills provided by McGeorge.”
