University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law continues to earn accolades for its innovative initiatives and commitment to training lawyers who match the growing diversity of California and the nation.

The Winter 2022 edition of preLaw Magazine cited McGeorge with high rankings in several categories:
•    12th in the nation for Asian students;
•    32nd in the nation for Hispanic students;
•    One of the 25 most innovative United States law schools;
•    And high marks in Public Policy and Trial Advocacy.

McGeorge also made the magazine’s diversity honor roll.

Forty-five percent of McGeorge’s Class of 2024 identifies as ethnically or racially diverse. McGeorge was also recognized as the No. 7 law school in the nation for having the "Greatest Resources for Minority Students" in the Princeton Review's Best Law Schools rankings. “McGeorge has long been committed to recruiting and supporting students from diverse backgrounds,” said Larry Levine, Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

McGeorge’s ranking as one of the 25 most innovative law schools in the country included specific recognition for its innovation in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The magazine lauded the Homeless Advocacy Clinic, which places a focus on helping formerly incarcerated individuals experiencing homelessness, as one of the reasons McGeorge is seen as an innovator in legal education.

For the second consecutive year, McGeorge earned an A+ in Trial Advocacy and an A ranking in Public Policy Law from preLaw Magazine and is one of two law schools in the nation, and the only one on the West Coast, to achieve that feat.

“Our Trial Advocacy and Public Policy programs have been among the very best in the country, reflecting the commitment of our faculty to excellence in these fields, and the outstanding students who are drawn to and who excel at McGeorge because of these programs,” said Michael Hunter Schwartz, Dean of McGeorge School of Law.
