Marlin Bates, associate professor of communication, was appointed graduate director for the Communication Department as of July 1, 2018.
Teresa Bergman, professor of communication, was appointed chair of the Communication Department effective July 1, 2018.
Kimberly Bell is the new faculty support specialist in Law General Instruction in McGeorge School of Law.
Kristi Capra is the new senior program developer in University College.
Geoffrey Douglas is the new Administrative Assistant/Schedule Coordinator for the Registrar on the Sacramento Campus.
Eric Dudley, conductor, composer and performer, has been appointed Howard Hanson Artist-in-Residence in the Conservatory of Music for the 2018-19 academic year. Dudley is the artistic director of the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players and a co-founding member of the Grammy award-winning vocal ensemble, Roomful of Teeth, which recently performed at Pacific.
Cassie Findlay is a new administrative assistant in University College.
Jessica Fuentes is the new audiology program services assistant in the Audiology Clinic on the San Francisco Campus.
Matthew Pausa is a new audiology clinic services assistant in the Audiology Clinic on the San Francisco Campus.
Molly Rentscher is the new graduate writing support coordinator for University Writing Programs on the Sacramento Campus.
Jessica Siena has been promoted to director of conservatory admission in the Conservatory of Music. Siena has served the past year as interim head of admissions for the Conservatory. During that time, she helped recruit the Conservatory's largest incoming class in memory — 70 confirmed freshmen, 23 confirmed transfers and 14 confirmed graduate students for fall 2018 as of the middle of August — representing a 70% increase over fall 2017.
George Theofanis is a new graduate legal assistant in the Institute for Administrative Justice in the McGeorge School of Law.
Yesenia Rodriguez has been promoted to CBIS behavior specialist II in the College of the Pacific Department of Psychology.
Development and Alumni Relations
Mary Byrne was promoted to executive director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. She has consistently assumed new responsibilities while improving the output and results for the corporate and foundation relations department.
Jennifer Laam, director of advancement services, has left Pacific to pursue a new career path. Her last day at Pacific was Sept. 5. A Pacific alumna and published novelist, Laam will focus more professional time on her writing. Alicia Mordhorst, senior research prospect systems analyst, and Teresa Harris, business analyst, will take on additional management duties where necessary until the position is filled.
Enrollment Management
Carlos Hernandez is the new assistant director of Admission.
Kaitlyn Goslinga was promoted to assistant director of counseling services in Financial Aid.
Kimberly Jorgensen was promoted to associate director of technical services in Financial Aid.
Interim vice president for Enrollment Management appointed
Roberta Kaskel has joined Pacific as the interim vice president for Enrollment Management. She has more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration and most recently served for the past 10 years at Loyola University New Orleans, including four years as vice president for enrollment management. Under her leadership, Loyola stabilized and increased enrollment over a three-year period. Her other roles at Loyola included senior director for external partner engagement and director of career development.
Suzanne Malley was promoted to associate director of counseling services in Financial Aid.
Kasandra Rossi was promoted to assistant director of technical services in Financial Aid.
Madison Steele is a new financial aid counselor in Student Services on the San Francisco Campus.
President's Division
Joshua Edwards is the new assistant director of athletic training for men's water polo and baseball.
William Lydon is the new athletics facilities and event operations supervisor.
Alexander Matal is the new director of water polo operations.
Deidra Powell is the new senior director of media relations in the Office of Marketing and Communications. Powell brings 13 years of experience as a chief communications officer in K-12 educational organizations. Her background includes media relations and training, marketing, branding, event planning, executive communications, crisis communications and serving as a spokesperson. In her previous role as chief communications officer for the Santa Ana Unified School District, she and her team managed the district's 24-hour television network. Powell began her career in television news and worked as a producer for KRON, Good Day Sacramento and CTV.
Joey Gullikson was promoted to associate head coach for men's and women's water polo. Gullikson enters his fourth season as a coach with the Orange and Black following the team's impressive 20-6 record year as well as their first-ever Golden Coast Conference title. He earned his bachelor's degree in sports pedagogy from Pacific.
Title IX coordinator appointed
Elizabeth Trayner has joined Pacific as the new Title IX coordinator. In this role, she will work with deputy Title IX coordinators on each of our campuses to ensure that Pacific is a positive and supportive environment for faculty, staff and students of all genders, gender identities and sexual orientations. Elizabeth has more than 20 years of experience in higher education administrative positions that support student life and diversity on campus. Most recently, she worked as the interim director of Accessibility Services and special consultant for Student Life at Mills College in Oakland.

Mary Nevis has been promoted to identity and access manager in Information Technology Security.

Anna Craig and Ashley Murphy are new doctoral psychology interns in Counseling and Psychological Services.
Mansaab "Ali" Khan is the new assistant director of fraternity and sorority life.
Jean-Arellia Tolentino is a new Doctoral Psychology Intern Counseling Services
Interim Vice President for Student Life appointed
Renee Barnett Terry has joined Pacific as our interim vice president for Student Life. In this role, she will provide continued leadership following Patrick Day's appointment as vice president for Student Affairs at San Jose State University (SJSU). Barnett Terry has more than 30 years of higher education leadership experience in student affairs, including nearly 20 years as the dean of Student Affairs for Revelle College at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). While at UCSD, she was selected as a Fellow with the American Council on Education and served at MIT and Yale.
