Pacific forms new partnership with Grubhub
PacificCash—a tender that allows individuals to pay for items on or off campus using their PacificCard—has always been a handy option for University of the Pacific students, faculty and staff to purchase meals and more on and around campuses in Stockton, Sacramento and San Francisco.
But imagine using PacificCash in Seattle, Chicago, New York City—and thousands of other locations.
That is now possible through a partnership formed by Pacific, Grubhub and Transact Campus, which handles the university’s PacificCard database.
PacificCash now can be used through Grubhub, the robust online food ordering company, at any of the 300,000-plus sites nationwide that are part of its network.
Matt Camino, university director of e-commerce, said the partnership is especially timely with students doing distance learning from their homes or other locales.
“We have many students who are not on campus and have PacificCash balances,” Camino said. “This enables them to use that money around the country. This also allows parents, grandparents or others to continue to give gifts to students through PacificCash, with many more places where it can be used.”
There is an added bonus: one free year of the Grubhub+ subscription service, with free delivery and other benefits.
Here’s how to get started:
- Download the Grubhub app
- Add your university affiliation (University of the Pacific) / PacificCash by going to Settings > Payment > Add new payment
- Order and enjoy delivery
