"November 21 - National Cranberry Day," Rhapsody in Books Weblog, Nov. 21, 2018: History's Ken Albala was quoted in this piece on cranberries ahead of Thanksgiving. He described pemmican colonists made with cranberries: "They would pound cranberries into a mixture of equal parts ground dried deer meat and fat tallow, then store the mixture in animal skin pouches.
