Professor Qingwen Dong, Provost Faculty Fellow in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Provost Maria Pallavicini is pleased to announce Qingwen Dong as the 2019-2020 Provost Fellow in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.  This position provides an opportunity for senior faculty members to develop administrative skills in the Academic Division while focusing on the institutional priorities of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Dr. Dong is a Full Professor in the Department of Communication in the College of the Pacific and a recent recipient of the Champions of Diversity Award.  He has also been accepted into the 10th Cohort of the WASC Senior College and University Commission's 2019-2020 Assessment Leadership Academy (ALA).  Therefore, Professor Dong's administrative project will involve working with Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Joan Lin-Cereghino on the assessment of diversity, equity and inclusion as related to educational effectiveness on all three campuses.
