Respected pharmacy leader to join Pacific as associate dean for academic affairs
The Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy is pleased to announce Srikanth Kolluru, MS Pharm, PhD will join the Pacific pharmacy family on June 1 as associate dean for academic affairs.
Dr. Kolluru’s vision for curriculum development, student support initiatives, industry partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations will enrich the educational experience of students at Pacific. His leadership will further elevate Pacific’s academic standards, positioning the School at the forefront of pharmacy education.
Dr. Kolluru is an advocate for student-centered learning through innovative, diverse teaching methods. He is passionate about collaborating with faculty to empower doctor of pharmacy students to explore non-traditional or unconventional careers which align with their unique strengths and goals.
Prior to Pacific, Dr. Kolluru served as associate dean of assessment and faculty development as well as interim dean from July 2022 to August 2023 at Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He is well-versed in pharmacy accreditation having served as a site visit evaluator for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education in April 2021 and October 2023.
Dr. Kolluru earned his bachelor of science in pharmacy from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India. He earned both his master of science and doctor of philosophy in pharmaceutical chemistry from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India. Dr. Kolluru completed post-doctoral training at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. His research focuses on drug discovery and the scholarship of teaching.
His involvement in professional organizations includes serving as secretary of the medicinal chemistry section of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. He is a member of Rho Chi, Phi Lambda Sigma and Phi Delta Chi.
