Risk Management to host Safety Forums in fall 2019
The University of the Pacific Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department would like to invite members of the university community to participate in building a strong safety culture within the university. As part of this process, the EHS Department will be hosting quarterly Safety Forum meetings, starting in fall 2019, focused on the following areas:
- EHS Policies and Procedures
- Compliance and Inspections
- Laboratory Safety and Sustainability
- Shops and Grounds Safety
Anyone who is interested in participating in the quarterly Safety Forums and its subcommittees can contact the EHS Department at riskmanagement@pacific.edu, attention: Safety Forum.
Meetings will begin in late August. Representation from students, staff and faculty are welcome.
Environmental health and compliance, as well as public and employee safety, have become major topics of focus across industries and organizations today. Participation in this process offers opportunities for learning and development as well as giving back to the university by helping to ensure a safer educational environment for us all.
