Stu Jackson named West Coast Conference commissioner
Stu Jackson—a highly respected sports executive with more than four decades of experience—has been named commissioner of the West Coast Conference.
University of the Pacific is one of 10 member institutions that compete in the conference.
Jackson joins the WCC after nine years with the Big East Conference where he most recently was executive associate commissioner for men’s basketball.
He also has worked as an executive at the National Basketball Association league office, was president and general manager of the Vancouver Grizzlies and head coach of the NBA’s New York Knicks.
At the collegiate level, Jackson spent two years as head coach for the University of Wisconsin.
He takes over as commissioner April 24. Learn more on the WCC website.
