Suong Ives brings boundless energy to Pacific in her new role as chief people officer. She joined the university in September to lead the human resources department across Pacific’s three campuses.

“We have so much possibility, from very excellent administrative services, great students, great people. We want to be one of the best places to work in higher education,” Ives said.

The human resources executive has previously worked at Clarkson University in New York and the NCAA, among other organizations.

Outside of work, Ives’ hobbies run the gamut. An avid gardener, she recently fulfilled her life-long dream of becoming a certified master gardener, is a voracious reader, loves traveling and is a certified skydiver. 

“I was afraid of heights, so it was a way for me to conquer my fear,” she said.
