Support students on Giving Tuesday and with Pacific's holiday gift guide

Student worker restocks food pantry

During this season of giving, Pacific supporters can make a meaningful impact on students by donating Nov. 29 for Giving Tuesday—a global day of generosity—then read on to get holiday gift ideas for everyone from sports fans to music lovers.

Give back to Pacific students

Pacific is highlighting three priority areas for Giving Tuesday: the food pantry, the Pacific Fund and the Center for Identity and Inclusion.

Supporters who donate $25 or more will receive a limited-edition ornament featuring an illustration of Burns Tower.

“These funds provide life-changing support for our students,” said Scott Biedermann ’05, ’20, vice president for University Development and Alumni Relations. “Gifts of any size make a difference to help ensure our students have the resources they need to pursue their studies and be successful.”

The food pantry, located in Wendell Phillips Center on the Stockton Campus, is a valuable resource for Pacific students facing food insecurity. A $10 donation can provide a pound of food. Gift cards are provided for students based on the San Francisco and Sacramento campuses.

The Pacific Fund directly benefits students by providing immediate, emergency support to cover services such as medical care, housing assistance and technology. Since the start of the academic year, 57 students have received emergency assistance.

The Center for Identity and Inclusion provides a supportive environment for students who are members of cultural, LGBTQ and gender-focused identity groups. Donations to the center are used to provide scholarships, enhance programming and improve outreach.

Supporters can give to any or all of these funds in addition to their school or college of choice on the Giving Tuesday site, which will be available beginning Monday, Nov. 28.
