Gifts to College of the Pacific directly support students and faculty as they advance the frontiers of knowledge across a broad range of subjects including the natural and social sciences, humanities and the arts. Your support bolsters the college’s progressive teaching methods, unparalleled research and internship opportunities, study abroad and interdisciplinary training that prepares students for the careers of today and tomorrow.
Imagine reaching your junior or senior year and seeing your financial aid isn’t enough to stay in school. You can ensure a student in need can stay at Pacific. Economic conditions have led to a critical need to support students who can’t meet the continuing costs of their Pacific educations, after coming so close to completing them. COP is dedicated to raising funds for Retention Scholarships to keep students in school.
Retention means a student can maintain the value of completed credits which may erode if they transfer. Worse, those who don’t complete their degrees are at higher risk of defaulting on their loans when compared to those students who graduate.
The donor-supported Retention Scholarships are for amounts up to $10,000, which is the average gap in funding. Students may apply for a retention scholarship anytime throughout the year. Your donation preserves the Pacific education that, otherwise, could be lost.
Your gifts set students on the path to success and help them achieve their creative and professional goals. Donors also experience the joy of seeing their contributions change lives and lead to positive change. Learn more about how you can get involved and support Pacific students.
