Pacific speakers will highlight webinar on COVID-19’s local economic impact
The expertise of University of the Pacific’s Center for Business and Policy Research will be featured this week in a community webinar on the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on San Joaquin County.
Jeffrey Michael, the center’s executive director, and Thomas Pogue, associate director, are the featured speakers.
The webinar is from noon to 1 p.m. on Dec. 9. The center is working with the San Joaquin Council of Governments on the session as part of a speaker series.
The 2020 San Joaquin County Index will be released as part of the webinar. The report will delve into economic and social trends in San Joaquin County and how the local economy is faring in comparison to other California regions.
