The Hutto Patterson Pediatric Dentistry Clinic at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry is actively involved in community outreach programs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As a provider for reduced-fee comprehensive dental services, we also provide pediatric oral health education services for community and school-based events.
Our pediatric dentistry faculty, specially trained teaching dental assistants, staff and students provide dental health education and dental screenings to various community-based organizations throughout the year. We also partner with local and regional groups, county public health departments and community colleges for staff training and education.
Our interactive, hands-on outreach program emphasizes early preventive information for children and their families-from transmission of decay and diet and nutrition to proper techniques for daily brushing and flossing and regular dental check-ups.
As a founding and active member of the San Francisco Children's Dental Health Committee, our mission is to coordinate and collaborate on-site dental education and screenings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We partner with the San Francisco Dental Society, San Francisco Department of Public Health Dental Bureau, San Francisco Unified School District, University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry and the Native American Health Center.
