The Dugoni School has three honor societies that encourage excellence and recognize student achievement and accomplishment.
Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Omicron Kappa Upsilon is a national dental honor society founded in 1914 at Northwestern University. The Dugoni School chartered its Delta Delta Chapter in 1934 to encourage scholarship and advance ethical standards of the dental profession. Membership is limited to 12% of the graduating class on the basis of scholarship, character and leadership. Students elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon graduate with high honors and the valedictorian graduates with highest honors.

Phi Kappa Phi
Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary honor society in existence. This prestigious honor society in higher education has a chapter affiliated with University of the Pacific. A select number of graduating students are admitted to this honor society by invitation only, and membership criteria include superior scholarship and good character. The name Phi Kappa Phi comes from the Greek words: "Philosophia Krateito Photon," or "Let the love of learning rule humanity."
Tau Kappa Omega
The dental school organized its Tau Kappa Omega dental honor society in 1927 in an effort to promote honor and service to the alma mater. Students are admitted on the basis of ideals, scholarship and character. At the end of the 7th quarter of study, the top 20% of students are selected for membership; and at the end of the 11th quarter, another 10% of the class is selected for membership. Additionally, the top 30% of the graduating International Dental Studies Program are selected following their 7th quarter. Rankings are based on completed and in progress courses reflected on student report cards. Students elected to Tau Kappa Omega graduate with honors.
